        Plaintiff,  Janis Dolan, individually  and on behalf of all other persons similarly 

her undersigned attorneys, alleges the following  based upon personal knowledge as to herself  and

her own  acts, and information  and belief  as to all  other matters, based upon, her  da,  the

investigation conducted by and through her attorneys, which included, among other things, a review

of  the public  documents and announcements made by the defendants, Securities and &change

Commission  ("SEC")  filings,  and press releases regarding Supervalu, Inc.  ("Supervalu" or the,

"Company"), and plaintiff  believes that substantial evidentiaty support will  exist for the

set forth herein after a reasonable opportunity for discovery.

         1.      This is a class action, brought by plaintiff  on behalf of herself and a Class

 of all other persona who purchased Supervalu common stock during the period from April  4,200l
